Some of the World’s finest axes have been made at Gränsfors Bruk in Hälsingland, Sweden, which was founded in 1902 and is still thriving today. Axes from Gränsfors Bruk are appreciated by users all over the world.
This book will tell you about the history of the axe, one of our oldest and most important tools. You will meet blacksmiths who work in our forge in Gränsfors as well as some of the key players who have been along on parts of the company’s long journey. You get to take a look inside our axe forge, learn about how axes are made and the secrets behind a really good axe. In addition, you will be given ideas on how to care for your axe, to ensure it becomes a lifelong companion.
