Butterfly inlays are used in woodworking to add decorative details, hide defects or to stop cracks in wood from progressing. With the use of a Router Inlay Kit and a plunge router (not included), this template allows you to create seven different sizes of butterfly inlays. The cutouts in the clear plastic template act as a guide for cutting both the inset and the inlay parts of the butterfly. Use double stick tape (sold separately) to hold the template to your work. Since your router bit will create a small radius on the inset piece, you'll need to cut out crisp corners with a sharp chisel.
