Lignomat's Mini-Ligno pinned moisture meters are top-quality, accurate meters at an affordable price. They can measure any thickness of wood from veneer to logs, even round pieces if the pins will reach. They have large LED displays that are easy to read even in the dark back corner of your wood shed.

All mini-Ligno meters adjust for different wood species without math. Each meter comes with a laminated wood group chart that helps you set the meter for the species you are measuring. Meters also come with two sets of pins (3/16" & 7/16" long) to test different thicknesses of wood. In order to accurately test the core moisture level, the pins need to extend at least 1/3 of the way into the lumber from each side.

Models

Model MD is the choice for most woodworkers. It measures 6-25% ♦moisture in softwood, hardwoods and manufactured panels. It is suitable for woodworking and some construction applications.

Model E/D adds a bit to the MD's capabilities. The extended moisture range(5-45%♦) makes it a good choice for woodturners and woodworkers using reclaimed wood. You could also use it to check the moisture in firewood.

Model DX is the most precise mini-Ligno meter. It's 40 species adjustment settings will give you an accurate reading in almost any type of wood. It also has settings for bamboo and drywall/gypsum.
