Mueller Professional Championship Axe

This is a professional competitor-axe with a hand-made eye, special high grade steel and a special heat treatment. It's hard, but not too hard – so you can prepare (sharpen) easily after forging and rough grinding, Mueller shapes the side surfaces so the cutting edge is precisely in the middle and you can always fix your sharping equipment to the same position.

The axe is delivered quite sharp, but the high precision final shaping and sharpening will be done by competitors themselves.

The handle is fixed by a wooden wedge and a metal security wedge, and also includes a security cross pin square to the handle to prevent the axe head from slipping.

Versions

We offer this axe in two versions.

  • The softwood version has a 17° bevel.
    Indicated by a "W" on top of the head. (Weich is soft in German)
  • The hardwood version has a 14° bevel.
    Indicated by an "H" on top of the head.
