Nicholson's Cabinetmaker's rasps have a staggered tooth pattern that remove stock efficiently, but leave less visible teeth marks and deep furrows that are the telltale marks left from standard machine made rasps. The #49 is a second cut rasp, a bit finer cut than regular cabinet rasps, while #50 is smoother still. Each has a flat & a curved side, and tapers in width near the end. Both are 10" long. Nicholson is currently making these rasps in Brazil.

We recommend Nicholson Type C Handles for patternmaker's rasps.
