Tormek T-8 Custom Sharpening System

The T-8 Custom offers all the features of the T-8 Original , but it doesn't include a grinding wheel, a honing wheel or any jigs. This allows you to customize you machine with only the jigs and wheels that fit your needs.

Tormek's tradition as an innovator and leader in sharpening technology has been serving woodworkers for over 40 years. Tormek's sharpeners have been unsurpassed for quality, versatility, edge positioning accuracy and repeatability when grinding, sharpening and honing just about every tool in your shop and home.

The T-8 has a die cast zinc frame from maximum rigidity, precision and corrosion resistance. Vertical and horizontal supports for the US-105 universal support bar are cast into the frame of the machine. The US-105 accepts all Tormek jigs (sold separately).

Cool Grinding

Like previous Tormek sharpeners, the T-8 has a powerful and reliable continuous duty AC motor (110 volt, 60Hz) that turns the 10" 220 grit aluminum oxide grindstone wheel at just 90 RPM. Because the stone spins so slowly and is continuously bathed in water, your tool's edge is completely free from any risk of overheating. The low rotation rate also avoids slinging water, while the water tray captures the grinding dust, eliminating grinding dust hazards.

Water Trough

The water trough is easy to remove and install. It raises and lowers into place with a simple twist of the knob, keeping water spills to a minimum. A removable scraper tool with makes a no-fuss job of cleaning out metal particles from the trough.
