From everyday kitchen scissors to heavy-duty hedge shears, this jig handles them with ease. This design features a quick 60-degree setting, a hexagonal pattern for low friction, and softer clamping for increased stability and reduced vibration. Not all scissors are built the same. Some may have convex blades, some curved and all different shapes and sizes. The SC-60 Scissors Jig’s smart, adjustable design allows you to follow the unique shape of each blade, ensuring a consistent edge along the entire bevel. With the reduced friction and vibration, you will be able to glide the blade smoothly across the grinding wheel safely and accurately (even if the blade might sing a somewhat unpleasant song of joy from being sharpened again).
Please note: while the SC-60 Scissors Jig handles standard shapes with ease, it may have limitations when it comes to scissors with unconventional edges such as wavy shears or pinking scissors. You can experiment with different models with the machine turned off, and carefully see if your specific, unconventional scissors or shears will be sharpenable. We do not recommend using the SC-60 Scissors Jig to sharpen hairdressing scissors due to their specific demands.
