The OFKC 500 Cordless Edge Router is unlike almost any router you've ever seen. It is specifically designed for edge trimming and forming as easily as possible. It's cordless, compact, lightweight and easy to handle. If you do a lot of edge trimming, you will love this tool.
Hollow Shaft Router Bits
The router comes with a 1 mm radius single flute hollow shaft roundover bit and guide bearing. You read that right - it's a hollow shaft router bit. The bits mount to this router using a screw rather than a collet. Festool offers a complete selection of hollow shaft roundover, chamfer and trim bits to cover all of your needs.
It also includes two bearing brakes to protect sensitive routing surfaces - one standalone and one built into the dust extraction port. The bearing brakes slow the spinning of the bearing to prevent damage.
