Going Pro as a Woodworker
Part 10 of a Series:

Retiring to Management

By Douglas Bittinger

Smoky Mountain Woodworks

There may come a time when you will want to step away from the day-to-day woodworking of your business and focus on other things. Perhaps you want to devote yourself to designing new pieces; perhaps you want to work on promoting the work your shop produces to increase sales volume; perhaps you want more time to fish, play golf or spend time with the grand kids. Whatever your desire, stepping back from the daily operation requires some planning if it is to go smoothly.

Here are the steps you need:

Here are eleven useful tips for using it:

You'll Love our Great New Blade Sharpening Service

"Recently I used your saw sharpening service and I wanted to let you know that they did a super job on my blade. I not only needed the blade sharpened, but one tip was missing and they replaced it as well. Turn around time was only about a week from my home in Tennessee. The blade cuts as good as a new one. You can bet that I will be using you again when needed."

Thanks, Charles Arkon
